Compassionate Mind Training (CMT) COURSE
Access and Develop Your “Compassionate Mind”
CMT is an 8-week course that teaches you how to access and develop your “compassionate mind” to reduce self-criticism, regulate strong negative emotions (e.g., anger, anxiety, guilt), and become more compassionate toward yourself and the people closest to you. Each session involves a mixture of taught content, group discussion, and experiential practices like mindfulness, imagery, compassionate letter writing, and dialogue with your “critical self.” Between sessions, you practice what you learned, guided by audio files and written material.

8 sessions, 2 hours each
conducted live on Zoom, with breakout rooms for small-group discussions
$600 (sliding scale on case-by-case basis)

Whether it’s infertility or pregnancy loss, a difficult pregnancy or birth, or the dramatic hormone and lifestyle changes of the postpartum period, support and community are essential for anyone struggling with the challenges and mood changes that so often accompany the transition to motherhood. Regardless of your challenge, this group will provide a relaxed and welcoming environment, with opportunities to share your experience and get support and suggestions for parenting, managing emotions, and caring for yourself along with your baby.
